Orderly book, mostly taken up with an account of Alexander McDougall's court martial, which ended with his acquittal on all but one charge, dated from headquarters in Newburgh, August 28, 1782. It also contains a few general orders, and the back of the volume contains a list of household furniture dated August 17, 1785.

Alexander McDougall (1732 – 9 June 1786) was a Scottish-born American seaman, merchant, a Sons of Liberty leader from New York City before and during the American Revolution, and a military leader during the Revolutionary War.
